Steve Vaneman, Owner/Lead Installer

Hi-Country Paperworks was founded in Austin, Texas, by native Texan and third-generation wallcovering installer, Steve Vaneman. Taught by his father, renowned trade master David Vaneman, Steve carries on a family legacy that began more than 60 years ago with his grandmother’s wallcovering company in Houston. From watching his dad on job sites as a toddler to mastering the craft himself, wallpaper has always been part of his story.

With decades of hands-on experience in wallcoverings, painting, and drywall, Steve brings precision and passion to every project. He founded Hi-Country Paperworks to uphold true craftsmanship in the wallpaper trade—raising the bar for quality and helping clients discover just how beautiful their spaces can be.

Katherine Welborn, Lead Installer

Katherine approaches every wallpaper installation like a puzzle waiting to be solved. With a sharp eye for detail and a natural gift for problem-solving, she takes pride in bringing precision and artistry to every project. Her calm, methodical approach ensures that even the most complex patterns align flawlessly and that every seam, corner, and finish is executed to perfection.

Whether she’s tackling a challenging layout or making subtle adjustments to achieve a seamless look, Katherine’s dedication and craftsmanship set her apart. Lindsay started The Wallpaper Concierge to solve a simple problem: finding wallpaper shouldn’t be so hard. Since you can’t just walk into a store and browse hundreds of samples from different brands, she brings the showroom to you. Lindsay curates collections from more than twenty high-quality lines so clients can see and feel each option right where it will live.
Lindsay guides clients through every step—from measuring and explaining materials to matching patterns and ensuring everything fits beautifully in their home.
